I look out my window.
The wintery gloom sticks to everything.
So recently the colors of fall were vibrant.
The summer heat had just cooled.
I know soon the budding of spring will happen.
But the gloom of winter settles deep into the soul.
Clouding the dawn of spring.
Kris Charles is a pen name. She lives in Iowa. She enjoys music, baking, and playing with a Pup named Milo Roy. Katy Lily was her first major story, starting in 1992, it was told as a verbal story to her youngest brother. Parts were used as short stories for classes from grade school to College.
