WASTELAND REVIEW

Bound by the blood contract his human mother signed four centuries ago, half-demon, David Sadler, must obey his demonic Master’s order to capture fifteen-year-old Jessica Hanks. But as he learns more about her, he realizes she may be the key to freedom from his dark enslavement.

The only obstacle–Jessica’s distractingly beautiful Guardian, Rebeka Abbott. He must not give in to their steamy chemistry, or he will lose his humanity. But fresh off a quarter millennia of sensory deprivation as punishment for not retrieving his last target, he may not be able to resist temptation long enough to save what’s left of his human soul.

I want to start off with saying this is the first for me with the New Adult, or at least a book that called itself New Adult. And I loved this book. I LOVED this book. I am surprised actually how much I liked it. Though I write about demons, vampires, zombies and stuff like that (Shameless Self Plug here sorry) In fact my new book (out fall of 2012 in the process of polishing up my first draft) has to do with Demons, half demons, and the sort, but back to the story at hand. I don’t like to read about them. I will watch a vampire T.V. show, a werewolf one, I usually give on them though… I think BTVS and Angel are the ones I really still like to watch and watched all of them.  This book reminds me a bit of that Buffy style.  Not because they are boring or anything mind you, it is just I get bored with them because I live in my own world with these creatures. But I give everything a chance and I will not say anything about them until I finish them, so I do bring myself to finish them.  But this book kept my attention and a lot of these new authors out there have and that pleasantly surprises me, and this book was no exception to this fact. So that being said. I loved this book!  Rush has created a wonderfully interesting world and characters that are so fascinating, you can’t help but fall in love with them. Each character has a depth that you don’t find very often and you will fall in love with them.  This book is so exciting and left this reader satsified in the end but still wanting more.  Rush’s next book Awaited is on my TBR list!!!  Check this book out you won’t be disappointed!!!

INHALE REVIEW

Book 1 in the JUST BREATHE Trilogy…

Strangers in reality, inseparable in dreams…

After years of suffocating under her boss’s scrutiny, whale biologist Zoe Morgan finally lands a job as director of a tagging project in Hervey Bay, Australia. Success Down Under all but guarantees her the promotion of a lifetime, and Zoe won’t let anything—or anyone—stand in her way. Not the whale voices she suddenly hears in her head, not the ex who won’t take no for an answer, and especially not the gorgeous figment of her imagination who keeps saving her from the fiery hell of her dreams.

Gavin Cassidy hasn’t been called to help a human Wyldling in over a year, which is fine by him. Still blaming himself for the death of his partner, he keeps the guilt at bay by indulging in every excess his rock star persona affords. That is, until he’s summoned to protect Zoe from hungry Fyre Elementals and learns his new charge is the key to restoring order in the dying Dreaming. He never expects to fall for the feisty Dr. Morgan…nor does he realize he may have to sacrifice the woman he loves to save an entire country.

*This book contains graphic language, sex, and some violence. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18.

5 STARS This book takes you on a breathtaking ride that doesn’t stop!!!!

I won a copy of this but because of all the reviews I couldn’t wait to receive it so I bought it on the kindle! I loved it! I don’t normally read a lot of this style of writing but I have to say for 99 cents it was a steal. It takes you on a breathtaking ride and does not stop!  The characters are engaging, I am totally in love with them.  They were not always perfect and they see themselves totally different than the way others see them!  I love that about characters. It makes them seem more real than characters that are perfect all the time.  My favorite by far is Gavin, I totally love his character.  This book leaves you wanting so much more!  And I have Exhale on my TBR list and plan on it being on next month’s read-a-thon! A perfect start to the series and it introduced me to a new a talented author, who is so awesomely unselfish by donating her profits for Whale education. You should give this book a read! You won’t be sorry. But please I suggest this only for the 18+ crowd.

The Beginnimgs of Katy Lily

On March 15th 1993 my baby brother was born and I use to tell him the story of Katy Lily when my parents would go out that turned into a short story for school then in 2011 I was reminded of this silly little story that I use to tell my brother and I finally put pen to paper to share with the world.  You can buy Katy Lily Year 1 Truth and Lies Past and Present now on lulu.com or amazon.com you can also get the ebook version of Year 2 A Nightmare Within A Dream check them out today ebook version only a dollar each!

The Seven Deadlies

So there are 7 of them and you wouldn’t think they would be so much trouble, but lately Sloth has been an issue and not my lack of motivation to write, but because he is what I am writing about, he is causing the major plot hole in my new book and he is fighting my efforts to fix it at every turn…. Sloth…  I knew his human/demon form died horribly for a reason….

Feedback

… or lack thereof….

It is not like I ask for much…. just a little feedback…. sure once and awhile I get an honest opinion (like I am trying to do to many things and granted I am and I am cutting back, but nobody gives me a review on my writing (heck I can’t even get family and my so called friends to read it.  I thought I didn’t care, that since I was doing this just for me, I wouldn’t care.  But I do… I don’t know why I do, or why it matters all of a sudden, (well not all of a sudden, this has been eating at  me for awhile)  I am not asking for much, a comment here or there, a one word bloody response, heck I will take ‘it sucked, you should just give up, you shouldn’t write’ right now as a good sign, at least at that point I would know somebody read my work…okay the pity party is done, but hey if you get a chance check out my works  Thanks much and ❤ to you all!

Music

Sometimes I don’t know my own mind!  I have been listening to music, I never thought I would, but it is helping my writing, except the last 2 days with this block on being able to sit down and sit still long enough to get a word out.  So I have been entering giveaways, designing shirts (check the post before this one), and a much of facebook stuff… well writing must happen these 2 days I have off!!!!!!  Well back to my strange music (which you would never guess by looking at me the type of music I like!)
