This is a work of fiction. Any similarity to persons living or dead (unless explicitly noted) is merely coincidental.

Kay, who was born with the name Kamaria, seems like your regular everyday bakery owner from Iowa. She may be world renowned with her cakes and pastries. And even her truffles. But she keeps a low profile in small town Iowa. Because she is far from normal. She is a witch that has recently celebrated her 2513th birthday. She had been cursed to immortality by the man she had been forced to marry when she had been mortal. A vampire her coven had sold her to for money. The Dracul Vampire Clan had been around for thousands of years before even Kamaria was born. And Orion of the Dracul Clan had been rich and practically royalty. He had seen her. Kamaria had been one of those born with rare, fair skin, making her highly prized. But when their child had been born a female, and Orion had murdered their daughter for just being born a female. Kamaria had staked him and set upon a curse to all vampires. They should never see the sun again, to only live off blood, to never see their reflection, and to be burned by silver. And when she killed him, his last action was to curse her to immortality. To never find true peace until a Dracul breaks the curse.

Almost 2500 years later and she is living in Iowa, in America, running a bakery, and a man walks in. Not any man, but a vampire. Something about this man calls to her. Can she trust a vampire, especially once she finds out he is not just any vampire, but a Dracul?

Alexander Dracul has come to America, rumors of a very powerful witch living there that may know a way to break the curse upon the vampires. What he did not expect when he walked into that bakery was this woman, Kay, to call to him. Not just her power, but her soul. He was falling in love. What he didn’t know was he was falling in love with the woman that not only killed his brother but was the one who placed the curse upon the vampires. Will he understand why she did it? Will he understand a mother’s grief? Will love win or will the witch and the vampire destroy each other?
