Power’s Darkness

Sometimes I’m Terrified Of My Heart;

Of Its Constant Hunger

For Whatever It Is It Wants.

The Way It Stops And Starts.

Edgar Allan Poe

‘I was once told I am only human; but am I?  If so, then why are they putting the weight of this war on my shoulders?’  The battles are getting more intense, Katy is starting to lose herself to her magic and to her so-called destiny. Senka has so much darkness on her side. She could only do what she could to save her and Reilly’s half-brothers. Katy’s greatest desire just a handful of years ago was for a family… And now she is wondering if it is worth the cost. Is it worth the cost of losing herself to her magic? To make compromises that seem so repugnant as a child?  Will she find the balance she needs to face the darkness and win? Or will she go nuclear and explode before she can find that balance. Is she a monster that will cause the death of the ones that hold her into living? Or is she the monster that will destroy her own blood to prevent Darkness from ruling?
